So I just saw this new website that Kim Kardashian and her mom Kris Kooked up. Oops, did I just do a lame alliteration thing? I think so.
Anyway, they have this site called ShoeDazzle where you pay a monthly fee of $39 for a "personal shoe stylist" to match you up with your perfect pair- a choice of 5 to be exact- after you complete a fashion survey. Shipping and return shipping is free. They ship you a new pair every month and there is no obligation to buy.
It's a cute idea, though I would probably have skipped the whole "we pick the shoes that fit your style" thing and just have a huge selection of $39 shoes. Then again, I suppose you can find that on Zappos, and having a "shoe stylist" does seem pretty glamorous and may make the fact that you're buying cheaper shoes seem like a great deal. To be able to get a package from your personal shoe stylist every month would be a great gift for someone who you know that may be clueless as to what a cute shoe looks like!
Don't get me wrong- I have nothing against great deals, but if you think about what a $39 shoe must look like... well, it's not always pretty. You can't get leather for that price, that's for sure. But that's great for vegans who don't want to fork over nearly a thousand dollars a pair for Stella McCartney's versions! The pair I saw Kim wearing on the Chelsea Lately show looked great, so hopefully they look good in person as well.
That's their sample selection (click to enlarge) which looks decent enough. I'd love to see them in person. Maybe I'll join to test it out and I'll let you all know. I think this is a great way for people to get more style with less cash. Plus, having someone pick shoes for you is a cool way to try new things! What do you all think?? Kute or Krappy?
There I go again...
Also, don't forget to comment on my last entry to be entered to win those FABULOUS JEANS!!

they look pretty cute! i have some pretty hot heels all under $50 so i don't see why these won't be hot either! you should try it out, and let us know!

You should totally try it and post what they send based on 'your style' - your taste level will be hard to compete with though...they have their work cut out for them! :-)
ummm, no thanks. the shoes are super cheap and can be found in the l.a garment district. michael antonio (who it appears all the shoes are made by) makes extremely cheap shoes and we all know how much cheap shoes can hurt. nice try kim k, but i'll stick to buying shoes on my own =-)
My style changes WAY too much! But, cute idea :)
Mmmm... this way you're obliged to spend 39$ a month without choosing the shoe... What can you buy with 39$? I mean, you'll get the heels broken in 1 hour!
Lucy =)
I don't think she has anything to do with it. personally i think someone just bought her out. like: i will pay you for saying it's your business while it's really mine. but i can make more money if yoúr saying it's yours.
btw $39 dollars is not much for shoes, and the you sure have to buy every month new ones cause the ones from the month before are broken already.
but i would love to read what your experiences with it are. if your signing up.
Very interesting concept. But I'd be afraid of what the quality would be like. I tend to spend more on a few pairs instead of less on many. Though I'm sure several people would be psyched up for it. Will be interesting to see how it does.
i'd rather save my $39 every month until i have enough money to buy a decent pair of quality shoes!
I totally get what some of you are saying - I had the same thoughts at first, but ShoeDazzle is awesome! I have three pairs of shoes from ShoeDazzle and they've all been really cute. They're much better quality than the price would imply.
Plus, if you decide that you don't want to buy a pair of shoes, you can always skip a month without paying.
Kim is on to something good here. I look forward to getting new shoe choices each month.

I saw your post and started checking ShoeDazzle out. Seems like some other bloggers are really excited about it and I've seen pictures of some awesome shoes. I'm going to try it for sure! With free returns, what could be so bad?
"if you think about what a $39 shoe must look like... well, it's not always pretty." hahahahahahaha....so true. Interesting idea but it's a cluttered landscape, Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie...leave it to the professional ladies.
i was definitely curious when i heard about this but also skeptical....let us know if you do decide to join!!
I just got my first pair of shoes, they are not as bad as I was expecting. They are actually cute and not like the payless style that I was expecting..... we'll see how they wear going out. I liked 2 pairs out of the ones that they "chose" for me. When a pair that was chosen for you was sold out, they suggested more alternatives to choose from.
